By John Ousby, 09/15/19, 2:30PM CDT

Another busy weekend for Freshmen and JV ends up with the championship win For JV1 and a 4th place finish for 9A

21 Games for Freshmen and JV over 9 hours on Saturday ended up being well worth it. The FISD tournament took place over several Frisco High Schools for 9A, 9B, JV1 and JV2. Check out  the schedule and results This tournament included a huge number of schools from across the area and must have been a challenge to organize. Big thanks to Frisco ISD for hosting!

JV1 went 6 and 0, winning the championship and beating some tough competition on the way, including the impressive Prosper team. CONGRATS!

The girls worked really hard and are starting to really gel as a team. We had everyone contributing to our success and they began to see all their hard work pay off! I hope to carry this success into next weeks tournament at Allen!

Coach Bishop (JV1)

JV2 went 0 for 5 and learned some valuable lessons on the way.

This weekends tournament was a chance for us to get as many touches as possible. We didn’t finish where we wanted but we definitely grew as a team. This tournament gave us a chance to work on a few things to improve our play. We are ready for the next weeks of District play!

Coach Pyron, JV2

9A came in 4th in Gold going 3 for 2, continuing top 4 places 2 weeks in a row.

I think the girls played extremely hard this weekend and we are doing a lot of great things, but I would have liked to finish higher than 4th. I think we need to work on overcoming and fighting through fatigue, but I am very proud of the versatility and growth this team has shown so far this season.

Coach Buckley (9A)

9B went 2 for 3 and ended up 2nd in the silver bracket

We may not have gotten some results we wanted but we have improved every game. With injuries and sicknesses some girls had to step into new roles. As some step into new roles we are learning how to play with each other. I look forward to the rest of the season as we continue to improve.

Coach Essary (9B)
